To move a bank account from one company to another will require closing the account in the first company and moving it to the second company.
Create an Intercompany GL account.
Create a chequebook payment to zero out this account as per the below screenshot.
Tick the original GL Account as Inactive.

Create a new GL Account.
Create a deposit to add in the opening balance for this GL account.
Companies with multi-company setups should have this Intercompany GL account which is used to transfer money between two bank accounts from different companies. |
