A contract with three meters for colour page counts based on coverage (low, medium, high), with a minimum volume on colour total, plus a fourth meter for black.
Separate stock codes are required for each meter setup. Jim2 does not allow duplicate stock codes in a meter setup.
Stock must be set up prior to adding meters, including macro descriptions on the Contracts tab.
Example Macros {{Project.Meter.Counter Name" "}}{{"Last Read – "Project.Meter.Job.Previous Job.Meter Read" "}}{{"Last Estimated Read – "Project.Meter.Job.Previous Job.Estimated Meter Read" "}}{{Project.Meter.Job.Previous Job.Date Due" "}}{{"Current Read – "Project.Meter.Job.Meter Read" "}}{{"Estimated Read – "Project.Meter.Job.Estimated Meter Read" "}}{{"Prints – "Project.Meter.Job.Qty" "}}{{"Estimated Prints – "Project.Meter.Job.Estimated Qty" "}} |
Users need to set the colour coverage level percentages at the contract itself, and turn the three meters to on. Each meter needs its own stock code.
On the Contracts tab of the consumable stock (not the meter stock), Yield must be entered based on manufacturer's yield and percentage provided. and the same yield percent set in all stock codes.
Against the meter line in the Meter Setup tab of the contract, enter the relevant ratio. The amount of toner usage can be adjusted to each tier. For example, if expected coverage for 1 A4 page is 5%, A4 Ratio for Tier 1 is 1 (meaning 1 page at 5% coverage). Similarly the tier 2 meter may count for 1.2 pages (at 5% coverage) and tier 3 meter may count for 1.5 pages when calculating usage, etc.
The contract will provide the three meter page counts.
Customers receive an invoice showing CPC for colour meter (totalled from the colour tiered billing), and the minimum volume quantity and rate, and the resulting job:
