You can create a Journal type stock code called Restocking (or something similar).
Journal stock allows you to enter negative values on jobs, purchases and returns, which makes it suitable for applying restocking fees.

|
Note: If you perform strict returns, you can only return the exact stock from the original invoice, consequently, you cannot add a restocking fee to a strict return.
To apply a Journal stock code for the fee deduction, the return would need to be set as a non-strict return, which allows additional lines like restocking fee stock codes to be added manually.
|
When a non-strict return is finished, Jim2 creates a Debtors PO, as it can’t determine the cost for stock not linked to a job.
You’ll need to enter the relevant costs into the Debtors PO that is created as a result of the RFC, then Finish it.
