sqlmessage

If this message pops up on the bottom right of screen, it is indicating that the workstation is using an old version of the Microsoft SQL Client, and should be updated.

Info

You may also receive a warning that support for SQL 2012 and 2014 will cease.

Please update the SQL Client using one of the following links:

https://download.microsoft.com/download/B/E/D/BED73AAC-3C8A-43F5-AF4F-EB4FEA6C8F3A/ENU/x64/sqlncli.msi (copy and paste into a browser)

Download Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Native Client - Latest Servicing Release from Official Microsoft Download Center (copy and paste into a browser)

Whilst the links take you to SQL Server 2012, this is still the current version available for updating.

To establish whether it is a 64 or 32 bit version of Windows, go to Windows Control Panel and select System.
