Jim2® Business Engine Help File

Selecting Attributes on sell means that you will be able to purchase as normal, but will enter in attributes when you are selling stock.

attrib on sell

Let's create a new stock called JACKET.SB, with no serial required and attributes (colour and size) required on sell. Keep in mind that, even though we won't be using attributes until we are on job orders, we still need to set them up by going to the Attributes tab and adding the attributes. We purchased 20 jackets, and we are now viewing the buying tab on stock:

Info

If any stock is coloured red, this indicates that the attribute configuration does not match the configuration set up under the Attributes tab. For example, stock has an attribute of Batch Number and the attribute on the stock has been changed to Due Date. In this instance, you will see a called Change Attributes, where you can make changes as necessary.

wrong attirutes

Even though Jim2 recognises that we have attribute functionality applying to the stock, because we have purchased it with no attributes, the attribute columns show up as blank. Now, let's try to sell our stock JACKET.SB. In this example we want to sell five black jackets, size SML and one green jacket, size MED.

add jackets sale

We will need to select the ellipsis [...] to choose attributes for the first line to get the attribute entry screen. There are no attribute templates set up for stock code JACKET.SB, so we will need to enter our attributes manually.

config jacket att

Then click OK. Now we follow the same procedure to enter in our attributes for the green jacket in the 2nd line.

stock with attrib on job

Now we can see the attributes we have entered. This job is ready to finish and invoice.
