Stock must be set up prior to adding meters, including macro descriptions on the Contracts tab.

This contract has a single black meter and is billed in blocks of 1,000 pages.

This contract has been set up with an opening read of 29,000 and 11,000 prepaid pages available. Note that the Prepaid meter must link to the Black meter. Looking at the Open Balance tab, the price and optional expiry date for the prepaid stock's opening balance should be specified in the Read/Purchase Date column.

Entering a read of 37,400 will create the following job:

Macros need to be set up on the stock to show the prepaid next purchase, etc.

 

The use of prepaid pages offsets the actual page count for the period. The effective billable amount for the job is the three purchased prepaid page blocks.
