At the moment we have no discounts. We can add discounts by going back to the kitting stock card in edit mode. On the Pricing tab, go down to price levels and click the solid arrow to show all the columns:
You can also add a discount for a particular price level of customer, or for a specific customer. Here we are adding a special price level giving 10% off the Retail list price of $1000 for quantities 5 and above.
Lastly, you can manually give a discount to the whole kit, by typing the discount on the kit header, or to individual components of the kit, by changing the discount percentages on line level.
When you do this, you will see that Jim2 will automatically take the typed discount and then apply it to the kit components.
You can also apply a discount to an individual stock in the line itself:
The business rule in Jim2 is that you cannot apply a discount to a kit and a line at the same time. You can either key in a discount on the kit, which will apply itself to the whole kit, or to a kit line, which means that Jim2 will calculate the discounts on the kit lines individually.
