Navigating Jim2 Help

Whilst you are in Jim2 you can open Jim2 Help by either hitting F1 on your keyboard, or selecting the ? at top right of screen. This will open Jim2 Help at the area you are in. For example, if you are in an email list, Jim2 Help will open at Email List.

There are three ways to navigate this Jim2 Help.

This will display the full index of the Jim2 Help, listing Jim2 functions by topic.

What's New in Jim2

This section lists all the new features as they are added into Jim2 via Build Updates.

Build Update Information

This section lists what was added/improved/resolved in each build update.

Getting Started with Jim2

This section provides information on technical requirements, setting up Jim2, multi-factor authentication, user interface, lists, explanation of colours, workflow, function and alt keys, along with a glossary of terms.

Configuring Your Database

This section has information on the Tools and Setups areas of Jim2.

Jim2 Functions

This area has information on all the Jim2 ribbon functions, ie. cardfiles, jobs, quotes, purchases, etc. Along with how to documents for all sections.

Jim2 API

This section has information relating to Jim2 API.

Jim2Cloud

This section relates specifically to setting up Jim2Cloud, along with information about how certain areas work as opposed to Jim2 On Premises.

Jim2 Mobile v2

This section has information on setting up and using Jim2 Mobile v2 for iOS and Android.

Jim2 Technical Knowledge Base

This section has information on the Jim2 server and configuration manager, eBusiness suite, etc.

Trouble Shooting

This section provides information on errors/issues within Jimw.

Keyword search

Choosing the key symbol presents an alphabetical list of key words that have been added to pages to narrow down the search. This is the fastest way to find things.

For example, enter cheque book in the Search field (this is not case sensitive). This will bring up the specific page or pages where keywords have been added to relevant pages.

It is worth a look at the key words to become familiar with how they work, and please feel free to offer key word suggestions to make the search experience easier (email support@happen.biz).

Free type search

Choosing the magnifying glass allows searching by using one word, or a combination of words. This will produce a list of any pages that have one, any or all of those words within the page, and can be quite a long list. It is also possible that it will return nothing if none of the words appear on any page within Jim2 Help. This search fully supports * and ? wild cards, ie. search man* will bring up all pages where words appears that use man.
