A useful feature within stock grouping is the ability to sort both stock groups and the stock within them by specifying a sort value. By default, groups are sorted alphabetically by stock group, then by stock code. Specifying a sort value allows you to rearrange the order to match printed price lists, or to force the most popular stock groups and stock to appear at the top of reports and stock selection.
To add a sort value, simply tick the Show Sorting tick box at the lower left-hand side of the screen. This will show another column in the Group header called Sort Value. Choose the group you want to sort, click in the Sort Value column, then click once again to enter a figure.
You can then enter an integer value in the Sort Value field next to the stock group or stock that you want to reorder.
