How Email 'From' Works

Back Top Previous Next

Email Rules play a large part in how the From email address is populated when sending/replying. If no default rules have been set up, the From field will be blank.

Info

Note: To change the default email address for a user, this is performed on the User tab of that user's cardfile:

Set up at least a default template and editor rule to specify a From email address.

If an email not related to an object in Jim2 is replied to, it will pick up the default template rule that has been set up. In the example below, if an email is linked to a purchase, the accounts@happen.biz email address will appear in the From field.
